Historic Bathymetry Maps – Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) has improved access to historic bathymetry maps from the 1940s to 1990s, through Ontario GeoHub. Select “Historic Bathymetry Maps” from the Legend tab, zoom in and double click a waterbody to reveal map options that you can download.

Conservation Agencies

Rideau Valley Conservation Authority – Covers areas south of Ottawa in the Rideau River watershed.

Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority – Covering the area east of Ottawa in the Mississippi River watershed, Carp River watershed and parts of the Ottawa River watershed.

South Nation Conservation Authority  – The South Nation jurisdiction contains 16 municipalities in Eastern Ontario. From headwaters north of Brockville, the South Nation River flows northeast for 175 km, and empties into the Ottawa River near Plantagenet. The jurisdiction covers 4,480 km2 of complex ecosystems.
